Our Story

The Society of Choice Since 1964

Tulaga Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd (TFCS) was founded in 1964 with 427 members to market farm produce for farmers drawn from the Tulaga Settlement Scheme in Nyandarua County.

We started by marketing pyrethrum, milk and wool. Following the decline of pyrethrum and wool markets, the society refocused on milk and has since grown its membership to over 3,500 members, expanding its catchment area across Nyandarua County.

Vibrant Extension Services

At TFCS, we believe an informed farmer is a productive farmer. Through our vibrant extension services, we provide hands-on training covering modern dairy practices, animal health, pasture management and milk quality standards. Our field officers visit farmers directly at their farms, ensuring every member has the knowledge to maximise production and improve their livelihood.

About Tulaga SACCO Society Limited

Registered on 6th January 2014 under the Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490, Laws of Kenya, Tulaga SACCO was formed to mobilise savings and provide affordable credit to members primarily drawn from the Tulaga Farmers Co-operative Society family.

The SACCO office is located within the TFCS premises in Engineer Town, making it easy for farmers to manage both their milk income and savings in one place.
